Together, We Will Eliminate DC's Achievement Gap in our Lifetime October 2015
Our nation’s capital is home to a vibrant community of multi-generational families and newcomers alike. The community has proven that it is dedicated to ensuring every student has access to an excellent school and we’ve seen progress, but still less than half of our students are on grade level. DC's Southeast neighborhoods demonstrate an even greater need, with less than a third of students on grade level. We need to rethink elementary education; our students deserve better.

Japanuary January 2020
On of my last trips before Covid-19 stopped the world from traveling was to Japan.
Japan and January are a legendary collaboration in the ski world. An extremely cold, dry wind that blows down from Siberia, picks up moisture over the Sea of Japan and dumps all over the western coast of Japan. 30 feet of snow dubbed the term “Japanuary.”
But climate is wild today.
Seasons are living in extremes more often, and this year, Western Japan was extremely dry. “Worst snow in 30 years,” we heard on lifts and over sake. Despite low tides and limited terrain, powder turns were found, like in the small ski resort - now primarily a cat skiing operation - called Iwanai. A fantastic trip with my pops, enjoy the compilation of japow.
